Bhagwadgita

"Dambh Darp Abhiman Cha
Krodh Parushyam Cha
Agyanam Cha Abhijatasya
Parth Sampdam Asurim"
Krishna mention in verses 4 the attributes of person with a demonic nature as follows: -
"Pride, Arrogance, Conceit, Anger, Harshness & Ignorance are the characteristics of a person who possesses a devilish nature."
Human intellect is is a very powerful and a complex entity but our lifestyles turn's it into a week instrument and further complicates it's complex content. Hundreds of thoughts that enter and exit our mind in the course of a few moments, prevent our focus on work, thus reducing our productivity. We carry such a lot of excess baggage on our weak shoulders that they always appear slumped on the edges. Most of us live either in the past brooding over it or in the future in a mode of anticipatory fear. In that process the present slips through the space in our fingers like sand.
All emotions, positive or negative that we experience and exhibit are the functions of our thought and are controlled by our intellect. This is where we need to look carefully at the anatomy of our thoughts and see if we can bring some control, sift positive from the negative good from evil and improve upon our lifestyle management in a holistic sense.
Our senses are always outward bound, looking for comfort, taste, pleasure, nice flavours and all the good things of life.
Our mind is full of desires and emotions and for those of us deeply entrenched in the material world, our mind gets really weak in the knees and surrenders completely against the onslaught of senses.
Our ego creates more problems than it solves. It is a kind of necessary evil and more often than not, impacts our lifestyle in a negative way, if at all.
These 3 entities obviously are an integral part of our being and their overwhelming presence in our life cannot be wished away. They however need guidance that can be provided only by our intellect which amongst other attributes is invested with the power of discrimination.
